Trump’s nearly two-hour campaign-style rant to Congress tonight was excruciating to watch. Packed with misinformation, disinformation, exaggeration, outright lies, and the usual bullying, it was indistinguishable from his unhinged campaign rallies. On the issues Americans actually care about—like the economy and rising inflation—he had almost nothing to offer.
Instead, he fixated on divisive culture wars, spending more time attacking transgender people and pushing for the end of gender-affirming care—a policy that affects a tiny fraction of the population—than addressing the nation’s economic future.
If he was trying to unite the country, he failed spectacularly. For the first time in history, Democrats refused to stand or applaud a single word he said. And honestly, who could blame them?
It was a dark, disgraceful night—one that underscores just how far our country has fallen in less than two months under Felon47.
The world has been turned upside down. The United States—once a beacon of democracy—is now cozying up to Russia while turning its back on our closest allies. Tomorrow marks the start of a reckless trade war with Canada and Mexico, our biggest and closest trading partners—a trade war that nobody wins, but where WE all lose. And not just a little—BIGLY. Every American, even those who fought to keep that criminal out of office, will pay the price. I fear that inflation is about to skyrocket to levels unseen in our lifetime.
Meanwhile, Ukraine, already battered and bleeding, will suffer even more, and when they fall, WE will feel the shockwaves.
And for what? To stroke the ego of Felon47, a man hellbent on chaos and destruction. He isn’t just playing with fire—he’s flirting with World War III.
What an international embarrassment Felon47 is! His comments and then canceling the news conference with Zelenskyy today are ignorant and uncalled for. I hope Republicans are seeing this as a wakeup call, but I’m not optimistic. Wow.
